This workshop is going to ask participants to dig deep and look at their own style and what they bring to the dance. We expect attendees to have been dancing for long enough to feel comfortable with social dancing and ready to mess around, get creative, communicate with their partner and connect to the music!

The teachers!
John and Molly are experienced dancers and teachers who regularly teach, perform and compete together.
Already having an ear for jazz music, John discovered his love for lindy hop at university. The dance quickly became an obsession and he spent (almost) every day practising to improve his technique and rhythm, finding more ways to express himself. Alongside this, John is fascinated by the philosophy and history of jazz and finds it important to show respect to those who created the dance. His lessons are rooted in his enthusiasm for simplicity, leaving space for people to find their own way of dancing.
Molly is known for being friendly, energetic and expressive both on and off the dancefloor. As a frequent attendee of events, you've probably met or even danced with her before! Molly is deeply passionate about the history of swing dance and its context, and so strives to honour its origins while sharing her love of the dance. As a teacher, she strongly believes that dancing is for everyone with no one 'right' way to do it. Through her classes, Molly aims to help others to make meaningful connections with the music, feel comfortable in their body, develop their own style and, most importantly, have fun.
