Winter Ball Social Dance

Join us at our annual Winter Ball Social dance at the John Marley Centre on Saturday 5th December 2026.

Music from the Castle Rock Jazz Band and ourswing dance DJs are on hand to keep you moving all night!

Castle Rock Jazz Band specialise in playing 1930’s-40’s jazz for swing dancers and, being swing dancers ourselves, they know what we’re doing. We’re inspired by, and aspire to play like, the great bands (big and small) of the swing era. We’re talking about Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Lester Young, Illinois Jacquet, Mary Lou Williams, Ella Fitzerald, Johnny Hodges, and countless more!

There will be music. There will be dancing. There will be refreshments. There will be fun to be had. Oh and there will be more dancing and more fun.

Band's 1st set from 20:00hrs

AND for the 3rd year running we are holding the price for advanced tickets £10/£7 concessions. To say thankyou to all our members, dancers and volumteers for supporting us throughout the year.

We will provide a sharing table so please feel free to bring your own food (Label allergies etc).

As we are a not for profit community group our Concessions tickets are for Students, unemployed or low waged only.

Door sales for tickets on the night will be possible BUT check before you set off as there is a capacity. Door sales £15/£10 card only)
